PART 1: PERSPECTIVE FOUNDATIONS

In the first part, you will learn how to build believable space using simple perspective.

• Understanding horizon lines and eye level
• How vanishing points control your drawing
• Drawing in 1-point and 2-point perspective
• Turning simple boxes into structured forms

PART 2: BUILDING ENVIRONMENTS

In the second part, you will learn how to turn basic forms into full scenes and environments.

• Using boxes to construct buildings and interiors
• Creating depth through overlap and scale
• Designing simple scenes and creative narrative
• Making environments feel grounded and real

PART 3: BACKGROUND COMPOSITION FOR CHARACTERS

In the third part, you will learn how to design backgrounds that support your characters instead of distracting from them.

• Creating a clear focal point
• Using leading lines to guide the viewer’s eye (camera levels)
• Controlling detail and visual noise
• Using value contrast to highlight your subject

PART 4: LANDSCAPES & DEPTH

In the final part, you will learn how to create rich environments with depth and atmosphere.

• Foreground, midground, and background layering
• Atmospheric perspective and depth cues
• Designing landscapes with clear visual flow
• Combining character + environment into one scene
